Herpes virus presents itself in two forms, the herpes simplex virus 1 and the herpes simplex virus 2. The herpes simplex virus 1 attacks the inside of the nose, the inside of the mouth and on the lips. It causes blisters that are usually very painful. Blisters in the mouth usually leaves the person having them with no choice apart from avoiding fluids that are hot and foods or fruits that have pronounced taste. Herpes simplex virus 2 attacks the genitals causing blisters on their surface. These blisters are also painful and itchy. This is why it is also called genital herpes. If a person is having genital herpes and happens to have intercourse with a person who is not sick, then that person will get the disease henceforth. Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease.

Douse the tea bag in hot water and then let it cool. Place it on the blisters to help in their healing. The ice cubes can also be used to help relieve the sensation on the blisters.

Apart from ensuring that the wound is dry, it is also important to ensure that the wound remains clean all through. It is okay to feel itchy and some sensation. One will be prompted to scratch the blisters. Water and soap should come in handy to help in relieving the sensation and in ensuring that the blisters are well cleaned. With this then, one is assured of reduced risk of infections which will in turn result to faster healing of the sores. Whenever one gets into contact with the blisters, it is advisable for one to wash their hands to avoid further infections to other areas.
